RBI grade B examination is one of the most prestigious banking examinations. Candidates who are able to successfully clear this examination are inducted into one of following posts and departments – Officers in Grade B (Department of Statistics and Information Management), Officers in Grade B (Department of Economic and Policy Research), and Officers in Grade B (General). The number of vacancies in RBI Grade B 2017 examination was 161, number of vacancies in RBI Grade B 2018 examination was 166, number of vacancies in RBI Grade B 2019 examination was 199, number of vacancies in RBI Grade B 2020 examination was 322.  The eligibility criteria in terms of education is different. For RBI Grade B (Department of Statistics and Information Management), the minimum qualification required is a Master’s Degree in Statistics or Mathematical Statistics/ Mathematical with a minimum of 55% marks. For the post of RBI Grade B Officer (Department of Economic and Policy Research), the minimum educational qualification required is a Master’s Degree in Economics or Finance, with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognised Indian or Foreign University and for RBI Grade B Officer (General), the minimum educational qualification required is a minimum of 60% marks in the Bachelor’s degree. The age limit for RBI grade B exam is minimum of 21 years and maximum of 30 years. When it comes to nationality, the candidate must be a citizen of India, a subject of Bhutan or Nepal or a Tibetan refugee permanently settled in India.
